Information about the treatment of feline orofacial pain syndrome provided on this website is based on the treatment of neuropathic pain, with much of the information derived from human medicine. Some of the drugs described (e.g gabapentin) have limited information available for their use in cats, and their safety and efficacy is largely unknown. We recommend that care is taken when using such drugs, and that further information is sought.
